Rally for a Low-Income Transit Pass

The 2017 draft City of Ottawa budget is being tabled on the morning of Nov. 9th at City Hall, and attendees at this rally will call on the City to ensure funding for a Low-income Transit Pass is included in the budget before it gets finalized.

When everyone has access to affordable transit, it contributes to Ottawa's social well-being and economic success. Communities thrive when people can move around easily.

City Councillor Catherine McKenney will speak at the rally. Earlier this year she said:
Creating a low-income transit pass is the "greatest social responsibility this term of council."
We hope you agree. Please RSVP and join members of the Healthy Transportation Coalition and Making Voices Count (City for All Women Initiative, Coalition of Community Health & Resource Centres of Ottawa, and community partners) at this important event.
